DM705. Multiservice Multiplexer.
DM705
Multiservice Multiplexer

The DM705 family offers flexible multiservice multiplexer for 19” racks with 2U or 4U height with interfaces and configurations that meet a wide range of applications, interconnecting voice and data traffic at low speeds with various types of network. It offers multiplexer access functions, traffic concentrator and telesupervision system. Can work in ring topologies or linear point-to-point. It supports hot swap and CPU and power redundancy.

Characteristics

CPU

  • DM705 can operate with one or two CPU interfaces and can enable redundant operation.
  • 64 kbit/s timeslot cross connection for data coming from any interface and CAS cross connection.
  • DS0 high capacity cross connection. Up to 257 lines for DM705-SUB (with CPU128) and up to 64 lines for DM705 HW2 (using CPU64).

Interfaces

  • Totally modular and can be equipped with interfaces as required.
  • Voice interfaces (E&M, FXS, FXO), V.35, MBB, G.703, G.704 (electrical or optical E1), G.SHDSL, E3, STM-1 (electrical or optical), Ethernet, CESoP e telesupervision.
  • Hot swappable.

Sync

  • Internal clock generated by the multiplexer.
  • 2048kHz external clock with BNC input interface directly on the CPU card.
  • Recovery clock from STM-1, E3 (available in DM705-SUB), E1, G.SHDSL or V.35 interfaces.

Management

  • Centralized management support through DmView.

Power Supply

  • Supports AC inputs (93 to 250VAC) and DC inputs (36 to 72VDC), with automatic selection.
  • Redundant operation when using 2 power supply units.
  • Hot swap power supply units.

External Alarms

  • Up to three external alarm inputs and one output on the front panel.
  • Dry contact inputs.
  • NA/NF dry contact output.
